Pita Sandwich and Apple Bread

I love a good pita sandwich. For another hot day, I didn't feel like preparing a lavish meal and instead threw together one of my boyfriend's favorite meals.

This pita has vegan mayo, sauteed mushrooms and onions, garlic and rooster sauce.

This was the apple bread I made, it was a bit dry, but the apple part came out really well.

Hi, I just discovered your blog and am liking it. That apple bread looks especially good, as I'm beginning to get the first glut of apple season!

Thanks so much! Here is the recipe, but like I mentioned, its missing something... It was a bit dry. Mess around with it and tell me what you come up with ;p

1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup applesauce
1/2 cup soy milk
1/2 cup apple juice
3-4 sliced apples

Directions:

Mix everything except apples and pour into a greased casserole dish. Add apples to the top. Sprinkle cinnamon on top (as much as you want) and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Rooster sauce is actually called Sriracha, but most people call it rooster sauce because it has a giant rooster on the label. It's a spicy sauce made out of peppers and goes good with anything if you like things hot. Here is their website! Rooster Suace
